Introduction

Many tools and equipment at think[box] can be borrowed for up to three days for use outside of the facility. Tools available for loan include hand tools, audio, video, and photo equipment, tools for scientific measurement, and more. Anyone can borrow a tool as long as they have a state-issued ID that can be kept at think[box] as collateral for the duration of the loan.

How to Start

  1. To borrow a tool, come in to think[box] and speak to a Student Worker.
  2. Loans can be made for up to three business days. A state issued ID must be held at think[box] as collateral for the duration of the loan. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver's license, passport, school ID, etc. IMPORTANT: Tools CANNOT be loaned without holding a state issued ID.
  3. Late returns: Equipment MUST be returned to think[box] before closing time on the last day of your equipment rental. Late returns will result in a fine of $20 per day for each day the equipment is late. IDs will be retained until all fines are paid.
  4. Damaged or Missing items: Returns that contain damaged or missing items are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. A full time staff member will make an assessment and notify the user about terms of repayment.
